Whether used in manufacturing plants or shipping facilities, the rollers must possess certain qualities in order to work properly. If you need new rollers for your system, pay close attention to these three features. Doing so will ensure that they provide the highest level of efficiency.
The Type of Metal Used
Most types of metal rollers are constructed used either steel or aluminum. In some cases, the rollers will use a combination of the two metals. Determining which approach works best in your operation involves looking at the rollers you wish to replace. Are you happy with the efficiency of those rollers in years past? If so, choosing new ones made of the same metal or metal combination will be your best approach.
The Load Bearing Qualities of the Rollers
Consider the amount of weight that your conveyance system has to support at any given time. Is the width and length of each roller ideal for the containers or loose materials that move along the line? Perhaps it’s time to go with a new conveyance system that’s a little wider. If that’s the case, you will want metal rollers with more width and length than the present ones.
